Successfull Pass of BSi Audit
added on 2009/03/09The BSi visited Rosyth on 27th January 2009 to undertake the annual surveillance visit of Acetech. The objective of the visit was to assess the overall integrity, management, maintenance and effectiveness of the Acetech Business System and any changes since the last visit. The company were assessed against the requirements of ISO9001:2000 during this visit but it was recognised that the system would be assessed against the revised standard, ISO9001:2008, at the next visit. The areas assessed during the visit were found to be effective and it was recommended by the BSi Assessor, Andy Whitecross, that Acetechs registration should be continued. There were no outstanding nonconformities to review from the previous visit and no new nonconformities were raised during this visit. Several improvements were noted by the Assessor during the assessment. The next visit is scheduled for January 2010.
Acetech Appoints a new Rail Operations Manager
added on 2009/02/04Acetech have appointed Nigel Wakeman as their new Operations Manager for their Rail division. Nigel has worked in the rail industry for a number of years and his last role was a senior position within the resource team at Babcock Rail.
Andy Greig, M.D. of Acetech comments 'we were looking for someone who had both rail and personnel experience, and Nigel fitted the profile perfectly. We see the coming weeks and months as a pivotal time within our rail business and Nigel is a perfect candidate to take our business forward'.
